A narrow road leads out of Gaios towards the inland village of Ozias, running parallel to the Gaios waterfront. Just before Ozias village is Villa Olivia, which looks out over a few houses hidden amongst olive groves and across the sea to the mountains of the Greek mainland.
The many tavernas, shops and café bars of Gaios are just a 3 minute drive away. A hired boat can be moored on the waterfront.
The narrow road continues past Ozias village, through ancient olive groves, and in 1.5 kilometres reaches Mogonisi Bay, where there are two excellent tavernas above a sandy beach.
There is a general store and café bar, run by Yakovos, in Ozias village - just a few minutes' walk away.
