Villa Marina and its extensive, private grounds overlook Mogonisi Bay at the southern tip of Paxos.

Rare to find a large, sumptuous property with swimming pool, magnificent views, peaceful seclusion and just a minute’s walk to a small beach and private mooring for a hired boat.

The property comprises two villas (Marina 1 and Marina 2) and one swimming pool, set on an upper hillside terrace, and a studio on a lower terrace.

The villas are rented together (for parties up to 15) or, in the months outside July and August, just Marina 1 can be rented with Marina 2 unoccupied (for parties up to 8).

Each villa has its own stepped pathway leading up from the coast road and through the terraced gardens interlaced with clusters of pine, cypress and olive trees. For car access there is a shared driveway above the villas.

Both villas have spacious rooms, all designed by the Italian owner to reflect the colours of the sea and the beach, opening out on to wide terraces with cushioned relaxing and dining areas.

The kitchens are equipped for the discerning chef and extend to outside kitchen areas to cook al fresco. We can also arrange for a cook to prepare meals. Dina (the cook) can take villa guests out on a snorkelling trip to catch an octopus or two.

The villas look out left (north) across the sea to the mountains of the Greek mainland, right (south) to the cliffs of neighbouring AntiPaxos and straight ahead (east) across the bay to the sandy beach and 2 tavernas of Mogonisi.

The walk to the Mogonisi beach and tavernas takes about 10 minutes (or a drive of 3 minutes). With a hired boat, moored below the villa, one can reach the sandy beaches of AntiPaxos in 15 minutes. Beaches along the coastline towards Gaios are within walking distance.

Two housekeepers, employed by the owner for over 10 years, keep cushions plumped and all areas of the property spotless.

There are many internal & external steps without railings so not recommended for toddlers or those with mobility problems.

Maid service 6 days per week & linen change twice weekly

Location: car hire recommended for ease of access to all parts of Paxos. Boat hire recommended for coastal exploration. Theo’s Taverna and Carnayo Gold café bar on the opposite side of the bay, are a walk of 10 minutes. Gaios is about 4 kilometres.

Studio twin bedroom and en suite bathroom; outside kitchenette.
Marina 2 has a sitting room; kitchen and dining area; two double bedrooms each with en suite bathroom; one twin bedroom and en suite bathroom; single bedroom (no air-con).
