Vigla is under a 10 minute walk from Lakka waterfront and has powerful views over Lakka Bay and out across the sea to the west coast of Corfu and the Greek mainland. Opposite the house, the sun sets behind the headland marking the entrance to Lakka Bay.
An uneven pathway starts at the old village schoolhouse, on the village waterfront and beside a small sandy beach, and leads up a hillside of myrtle, maquis and broom, to Vigla.
Vigla has no pool but the walk down to the sandy beach takes 5 minutes. Bathing rocks are even closer but the path is wilder and a bit more precipitous. Orkos beach, in the other direction, is a walk of about 20 minutes.
The house is surrounded by olive and pine trees and is totally private.
Maid service & linen change twice weekly
Location: car hire not needed as the tavernas, shops, bars and boat hire of Lakka are all within a 10 minute walk but there is a space to park a car beside the house.
Accommodation: ground floor of an open-plan sitting room, dining area and kitchen; one twin bedroom; bathroom with shower. Stairs up to one double bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower. Outside access to a simple annexe studio of one double bedroom with outside shower room.
