Salamander is an extensive property hidden amongst hillside olive groves - just a 10 minute walk down to Loggos and a further walk of 2 minutes to Levrecchio beach.
The property enjoys total privacy and, apart from the hypnotic chirp of cicadas, tranquility.
Salamander’s views take in the village houses of Loggos, the turquoise bay of Levrecchio beach, coastal olive groves and across the sea to the mountains of Epirus on the Greek mainland.
Most of us would probably want to linger in bed on a holiday morning but if staying at Salamander, at least one sunrise should be experienced. To watch the sun appear from behind the mountains of the Greek mainland and turn the sea a sparkling gold – is magical.
The property consists of two separate main houses and a smaller guest house, nestled within 7000m2 of private gardens and olive groves, surrounded by ancient stone walls.
The Italian owners have renovated the original buildings to combine traditional simplicity with stylish and modern comforts.
Salamander is a unique find for a large party wanting space, privacy, home entertainments, mesmerizing views and a pretty port on one’s doorstep.

We had a fantastic holiday. It seems like a life time ago now.
The property was fantastic and the staff were all lovely and very helpful. The welcome basket from the owners was incredibly generous and totally delicious. The olive oil was particularly amazing. Please do pass on my thanks? Annoying we totally forgot to write in the visitors book.
As a property it was very well appointed and picturesque. I love the old fashioned feel and the views were spectacular. We did make one sunrise and it was worth the early start. The pool area was heavenly and meals on the terrace by the kitchen were very special with that incredible view as a backdrop. We ate behind the kitchen at lunchtime as that area was more shaded. It was great having the different dining spots.
I’d also recommend Fotini. She couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful and our Greek themed supper was delicious. It made for a very memorable evening.
The location of the property was also very convenient being only a short walk to the beach and into the village. One of us tended to walk down to the village to collect croissants/coffees from the backery for breakfast and have a morning swim in the sea. It was lovely to be able to do that. Plus having the supermarket so close was great.
Best wishes and huge thanks again
