Chimara
Just a few kilometres inland from the port of Loggos, the sleepy village of Fontana has two tavernas, a small general store and a pharmacy.
From Fontana a narrow track snakes its way down through hillside olive groves towards the sea. Villa Chimara is half way down this track.
Chimara is surrounded by a natural landscape of olive and pine. Total privacy and only the sound of birdsong and cicada chatter.
Views along the east coastline of Paxos to the tiny island of Panaghia and to the Greek mainland, are powerful. By night the twinkling lights of mountain villages on the mainland provide extra theatre.
Within this densely forested part of Paxos there are many ancient goat paths, which are still used to get from one hamlet to another. One of these paths leads from Villa Chimara’s private grounds to the beach of Kakilangatha – a walk down of just 5 minutes.
Chimara isn’t a glitzy villa - it has soft edges and will appeal to those looking for a comfortable and totally private escape.

Location: car hire essential. Fontana is a drive of 5 minutes. Loggos, with a more varied selection of tavernas, café bars, shops and boat hirers, is a drive of 10 minutes.

Main house of a sitting room and dining area; one double bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower; one twin bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower; kitchen. Outside access to adjoining guest house of an open-plan double bedroom and kitchenette, en suite bathroom with shower; cloakroom. 11 steps down from pool terrace to one double bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower.
