Villa Atherina has a dramatic location above Gaios.
The villa’s front terraces look down to the pine forest and old fortifications of the Venetian castle on St. Nicholas island, which forms the fjord-like entrance to Gaios port. The views then open out to create a panoramic theatre of colour and movement: fishing boats, yachts and small ferries entering and departing from the harbour; the walled nunnery of Panagia island; the olive groves of the eastern coastline and across the sea to the Greek mainland.
Gaios has a diverse selection of tavernas and shops. Moor a hire boat on the waterfront just below the villa.
