Mermaid Cottage
We think that Mermaid Cottage has the best location in Loggos and, if you want a private balcony immediately over the sea, then possibly the best location on Paxos.
The first floor double bedroom opens on to a small balcony, which looks out across the sea to the mountains of the Greek mainland, 9 miles away. Fall asleep to the sound of the sea lapping against a ground floor terrace and below this, a tiny cove.
Mermaid Cottage, one of just three waterfront houses, is close to three cafe bars on the open side of the harbour wall and a few metres away from Loggos port on the other side with a village bakery, six tavernas, two minimarkets and four other cafe bars.
The tiny port is a colourful venue for people and boat watching. Mermaid Cottage provides a private escape from the world with uninterrupted sea views.
Levrecchio beach is a 4 minute walk away in the next bay. Here there is a simple taverna set within an olive grove bordering the beach.
No need for a hire car. If you want to explore the island there are island taxis and the bus or hire a car for the day. Loggos boat hire allows you to explore the coastline and discover your own deserted beach.

Ground floor of kitchen and dining area; small bathroom with shower. Spiral staircase to first floor of double bedroom (air-con).

Dimitris had everything organised and really looked after us – he recommended we leave the island a day early as there was uncertainty if the ferry would run on Wednesday, which we wouldn’t have known about if he hadn’t been looking after our transfers."

"We had a wonderful summer of 2015 on the beautiful island of Paxos. Following our wedding in Gaios on the island we stayed in the gorgeous Mermaid Cottage in Loggos.
We were met by Alex who fitted our luggage into his jeep & helped ensure we arrived safely & were able to enjoy the delights of the small harbourside village.
Our bedroom had stunning sea views & the breeze brought a welcome coolness on the hottest of days. This was an ideal setting for a relaxing & romantic escape & we appreciated having Alex's support whenever it was needed. A big thank you to Ionian Villas."

"We really could not fault anything about the holiday
The flights and transfers worked so well.
Mermaid cottage was clean and well equipped and the location was absolutely superb, waking up to the view, popping downstairs for a pre dinner cocktail all perfect..
We walked our way around the top section of the island from Loggos to Lakka, we had heard there were a lot of old donkey paths to walk on however these seem to have become overgrown, that was our only minor disappointment, otherwise flawless wonderful holiday."

"We had a fantastic stay in the charming Mermaid Cottage and enjoyed every moment.
The booking process was easy and any questions swiftly answered.
In terms of transport links, everything was smooth and we were kept informed of how to proceed from airport to taxi to ferry and taxi once more.
Being next door to Roxy's Bar was great and they greeted us when we arrived, treated us excellently during the evenings we spent there, and provided boat hire which meant we got to Antipaxos.
The cottage was charming and the view over the harbour met and exceeded expectations. It had everything we needed and we were always comfortable there.
We fell in love with the island and its people, who were always welcoming and laid back. We were spoilt for choice in terms of food and tried most, if not all of the local tavernas. With Levrechio Beach so close by we were never more than a few minutes from a great beach for swimming and relaxing.
The only downside came from our own end - we should've stayed longer!
In short an unforgettable holiday on an island I'm sure we will return to and a travel company we were left very impressed with."

"Mermaid Cottage is an absolute gem. Its locality close to the harbour, on top of the sea with magnificent views are unsurpassed.
We found the cottage to be exactly as envisioned: true island style, laid back but with all necessary amenities. It is not luxurious, but definitely in line with the island holiday we had in mind.
We will not recommend the cottage for elderly people who may find the bathroom and staircase a little cramped.
The cottage’s locality on top of the Roxy Bar, next to a wonderful bakery and very close to all the restaurants that Loggos offers, all made for an unforgettable experience. Then Loggos itself was a revelation to us: it is picturesque, small with just enough tourists to give it the island holiday vibe. What I found most enjoyable was the fact that local residents and tourists live and mingle in a small community.
As a seasoned traveller, this holiday rates as one of the best ever."

"The Mermaid Cottage was a perfect location with just the right amount of buzz attached. The morning sun rising over the Greek mountains - a delightful position, just right for a boat nut such as myself and a friendly bar just below, and baker next door! The organisation all worked perfectly even down to the very late plane arrival leaving us just 15 mins to get to the port and the 'Dolphin' from the airport, the taxi driver managed it by the skin of our teeth!
All in all Rachel and I fell in love with the island and will return. The best Greek island we have visited... by far."
