Bolana Bay lies between Kassiopi and Agios Stefanos, on Corfu’s north east coastline. One of the beaches within the bay is Avlaki beach, which extends to a wild and uninhabited peninsula, bordered by further beaches. The peninsula has been designated a nature reserve.

To the side of Avlaki beach, set on two hillside terraces, are the magnificent villas Tugela, Erato, Amalthea and Pelagia. Tugela and Erato are on an upper terrace; Amalthea and Pelagia are on a lower terrace.

Each villa has its own privacy, established gardens and magnificent views across Bolana Bay and to the coastline of Albania. Each villa has access, via a stepped pathway, to the beach below and shared use of the estate’s tennis court.

The four villas have call on the estate’s concierge team, which unobtrusively offers a similar service to a 5 star hotel. Full details on request.

Villa Tugela has elegantly furnished and spacious interiors opening out on to surrounding terraces for cushioned relaxing or dining with both sun and shade.    

Because the nearby nature reserve prohibits any building, Avlaki beach is peaceful and pleasantly devoid of lines of sunloungers and parasols. There are two beachfront tavernas and a small sailing club, which has dinghies, windsurfers, paddleboards and kayaks for hire.

Private swimming pool (heated at extra charge of 350 Euros per week) 17 metres in length

Maid service six days per week & linen change twice per week  

Location: car hire recommended but not essential. Avlaki beach tavernas are 150 metres away – on the beach there is boat hire and a dinghy sailing and windsurfing centre. Nearest minimarket is 650 metres away. Kassiopi (3 kilometres – a 5 minute drive or a 25 minute walk) has a good selection of tavernas and supermarkets. St Stephano is a 10 minute drive. Horse riding nearby.

Accommodation:

Upper level: sitting room and dining area; guests’ kitchen and separate chef’s kitchen (a personal chef can be prebooked); one double bedroom and en suite shower room, leading to a private courtyard with outside bath and shower. External spiral staircase to Pool level.

Pool level: three double bedrooms (each can convert to a twin bedroom), two with shower rooms and one with a full bathroom; one bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, ideally suited to four children, and en suite shower room; gym; massage/treatment room; TV room; laundry room.

The villa also had the added delight of a boules court. For larger groups or families holidaying together, Tugela can be rented with adjacent Erato which mirrors the layout of Tugela, again sleeping up to 8 + 4 guests
