The bay containing Coyevinas beach and Avlaki beach lies between St Stephano and Kassiopi on Corfu’s north east coast. Avlaki has two good, beachfront tavernas; Coyevinas has no beachfront intrusion from building or sunlounger. The peninsular beyond Avlaki beach is a nature reserve.

Set in large, private grounds and bordered by olive groves and tall cypress trees, just a short distance from Coyevinas beach and Avlaki beach, is the beautiful Villa Contessa Sara.

From the villa’s many terraces there are spectacular views over Avlaki Bay and across the sea to the coastline of Albania.

Both interior and exterior relaxing and dining areas are sumptuously cushioned and furnished to provide superior standards of comfort. All items of furniture have been hand crafted.

The gardens are a colourful riot: orange contessa sara, purple bougainvillaea, lilac wisteria and hydrangeas, yellow roses, turquoise and white agapanthus, white jasmine, pink oleander and olive trees bordered by cascading rosemary.

Contessa Sara is spacious, stylish and totally private - a perfect spot for those wanting to be within close distance of beaches, watersports, tavernas and shops.

Location: car hire recommended. Avlaki beach tavernas are a 15 minute walk away and Kogevinas beach is a 10 minute walk. On Avlaki beach there is boat hire and a dinghy sailing and windsurfing centre. Nearest minimarket is 1 kilometre away. Kassiopi (1.5 kilometres) has a good selection of tavernas and supermarkets. St Stephano is a 10 minute drive. Horse riding nearby.

Accommodation: ground floor of three double bedrooms (two can convert to twins) and one twin bedroom, each with an en suite bathroom; utility room. Stairs up to first floor of a sitting room; dining area and kitchen; gym; cloakroom. Stairs down to basement with a children’s playroom. Outside access, on a terrace just below the pool terrace, to a double bedroom, en suite bathroom and kitchenette. To the side of the villa is a "safari style" tent with a twin bedroom, ceiling fan (no air-con), and bathroom with shower. Pool cloakroom.
