16 kilometres north of Corfu Town and just 4 kilometres inland from Ipsos on the north east coastline, lies the village of Ano Korakiana. Surrounding the village is a dramatic and natural, undulating landscape in the foothills of Mount Pantokrator.
Horiatiko is just over 1 kilometre away from the village and offers a private, rural escape from the outside world.
Within the same, large grounds are two other villas, one being Country House. Each has good privacy.
Spacious, modern and unfussy interiors open out to shaded dining terraces, a pool looking out across surrounding valleys and grass lawns bordered by olive trees, 8 different species of fruit trees and herbs sheltered by rosemary hedges.
The views take in Mount Pantokrator, forested hillsides almost hiding the village of Korakiana and an immediate architectural display of oak, olive, cypress and pine trees. Beyond Korakiana, also hiding on forested hillsides, are the ancient villages of Skripero, Doukades and Agios Markos. Time slows in this part of Corfu.
Horiatiko will appeal to those looking to be undisturbed and to be a short distance away from the many resorts of the north east coast.

Facilities:
We have just spent a fantastic week at the Villa Horiatiko - firstly the villa is amazing and is of Hotel standard in every respect, the attention to detail and the quality of the fixtures and fittings is wonderful in every way.
Anastasia is a wonder, there was nothing too much trouble for her and she was so helpful to us in every way. We arrived with a three hour delay and she met us to escort us to the villa and then went and got us some food so that we wouldn’t have to go out again, talk about above and beyond!
Highly recommended in every way and we will certainly be back but for two weeks next time, thank you Anastasia for everything and see you next year.
This villa is beautifully built and has a spectacular view across its large swimming pool (with jacuzzi) to a picturesque village nestled on a mountain side.
Anastasia is an extremely attentive and professional hostess. Her background in hotel management shines through as the villa is kitted out to 5-star hotel standards. A large quantity of fruits, crisps and well-stocked fridge greet the newcomer, and quality bath oils are provided. The safe for valuables was a welcome sight. She made the point that it has a key rather than a key pad because key pads often malfunction.
Anastasia personally escorts newcomers around the property and is available for assistance if required throughout the stay. She also provides many beach and restaurant suggestions on request.
The evening before our departure, Anastasia popped round to make sure we had enjoyed our stay, and gave us a goody-bag of local produce.
On our final day we had to vacate the villa by 10 am because a new client was arriving, but, because our flight was at 9 pm, she went out of her way to provide us with a self-contained studio and shower for the whole day in her father’s property next door at no extra cost. We left our suitcases there during the day while we went to the beach, and showered and changed there before leaving for the airport in the evening. Unbelievable generosity!
The villa location in the middle of the island. Beaches and restaurants require between 30 and 90 minutes driving each way, and the driving can be a bit hairy, with very impatient coaches and local drivers on the good main roads, and sometimes very narrow, winding roads through mountain villages.
The only really good restaurant we found was The White House, which was Lawrence Durrell’s house. We had booked months in advance for a table by the sea, and the food was outstanding.
We had a wonderful week at Horiatiko. It’s a really lovely villa, very comfortable indeed and extremely well equipped. The garden is beautiful – spacious and full of olive trees so that there is shade to be found all day plus seating placed just right for the evening sun. We loved having a gorgeous view from the pool.
The location was perfect for us. We were well placed to explore the north of the island; it was a fairly short drive in any direction to beaches and towns on the coast. We were a 10 minute drive from the supermarket and a great bakery.
Anastasia could not have been a more helpful and thoughtful host. As well as providing abundant welcome provisions, she had made contact before our arrival offering to get a substantial food shop. As our flight arrival was significantly delayed this allowed us to have a very relaxed start to our time in the villa. The house was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed for the week, and we can’t recommend highly enough.
