Corfu’s south west coastline is a far cry from the more frequented north east – on this coastline lies Lake Korission, protected from the sea by a long stretch of sandy beach called Halikounas. The lake is a haven for over 100 species of birdlife including great white egrets, oyster catchers and curlews. The beach has soft sand dunes and no beachfront building. Surrounding areas are unspoilt: farmland, olive and citrus groves, plant nurseries and pine copses, sandy coves and simple tavernas.
Starfish Villa is just a 3 minute walk from the sandy beach of Alonaki Bay, above which can be found the excellent Michaelis Taverna. The villa has private access to a small sandy cove via a steep path of 35 steps.
Most of the villa’s interiors open out on to verandahs to enjoy views and sounds of the sea. The front terraces provide circle seats for the setting sun.

Location: car hire recommended. Nearest supermarket is a 5 minute drive. Halikounas beach is 4 kilometres. The small beach resort of Agios Georgios (water sports) is 8 kilometres south. Corfu Town is a drive of 40 minutes.

Ground floor of a sitting room and dining room; kitchen; 3 twin bedrooms; bathroom with bath; bathroom with shower. First floor (accessed by an open staircase) of one double bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower.

What a lovely villa, spacious and bright and very well equipped!
We had everything we needed. The views were outstanding and waking up to an uninterrupted view over the sea every morning was magical.
We used the wonderful Michaelis taverna regularly, it was literally a 5 minute walk from the villa and the food was great and has a good play area for children.
The surrounding area of Halikounas is quiet, rural and unspoilt, just a few villas dotted around.
This was a special holiday for our group and the villa met all our needs.

with 3 children we have tried almost all scenarios over the years and have unanimously concluded a private villa in a secluded area is perfect. The livelier parts of the island are only 10/15 mins away if needed.
