If you are looking to be close to sandy beaches and to be just a 15 minute drive from the airport, the southern coastline of Kefalonia is where you should be.
The coastal hamlet of Pessada is a quieter alternative to the busier areas above Makris Yalos beach. Just a few kilometres from Spartia, Pessada is half way between Avithos and Lourdas beaches.
Villa Salto is a sleek, modern villa set on a hillside of olive groves with spectacular views along the southern coastline, the foothills of Mount Aenos and across the sea to the island of Zakynthos.
A special feature is the outside sitting room with open fireplace, which appears to float above the swimming pool. The poolside dining area has a mini fridge.

Pessada has a minimarket. The nearest sandy beach is 500 metres away. "Sunset Taverna" is just beside the small port of Pessada (350 metres away from the villa). The local Divino winery has guided tours and wine tasting. Lourdas is a 10 minute drive and has good fish tavernas and boat hire above a sandy beach. The tavernas, minimarket and sandy beach of Spartia are just over a kilometre away.
Pessada port has a ferry connection to Zakynthos – let us know if you like the idea of a combined Zakynthos and Kefalonia holiday.

Location: car hire recommended for ease of access to the many coastal villages and beaches. Also to venture north – Fiscardo is a drive of around 1 hour 30 minutes. The island’s capital, Argostoli, is a 15 minute drive.
