A 10 minute drive from Kefalonia's capital, Argostoli, the resorts of Lassi and Makris Yalos have two of the best sandy beaches, water sports and an extensive selection of tavernas, bars and shops.

At one end of Makris Yalos beach there is a private flight of about 40 steps leading to four terraced houses. Fofi's House is one of these houses.

The other three houses are owned by Fofi's sisters.

Here there is a peaceful escape from the busier parts of Lassi and Makris Yalos. Backed by a copse of pine trees, Fofi's House opens out to a verandah and then grassed areas and gardens with beautiful views down to the beach, along the coast and across the sea to Zakynthos.

The Greek family owners of all four villas live in other parts of the world for most of the year. They consider these beachside villas to be a simple escape from their busy lives elsewhere. The main attractions are the location above the sea and superb sunsets. The villa interiors are simple yet comfortable. 

Fofi's House is above the quieter end of the beach - no immediate tavernas or sunloungers. A walk of around 200 metres along the beach to the other end leads to a few tavernas, a beach bar and comfy sunloungers for hire.

Maid service and linen change twice weekly.

Location: the beach of Makris Yalos, just a few minutes walk away, has beachfront tavernas, shops and bars but car hire is recommended for ease of access to the more cosmopolitan lifestyle of Argostoli and other parts of the island.

Accommodation:

Fofi's House is the ground floor of a 2-floor building - the upper floor will be unoccupied. Ground floor of large open-plan sitting room, dining area and kitchen opening out to sea-facing dining terrace; one double bedroom and en suite shower room; one twin bedroom; bathroom with bath & shower.
