Sunset Cottages
The five Sunset Cottages are perched up high on Ithaca’s west coast, two kilometres south of Stavros village and just a five minute drive to Polis Bay beach.
The views from each cottage and the pool terraces are over silver olive trees and tall cypress trees and across a narrow strip of Ionian sea to Kefalonia, whose forested hillsides form a theatrical backdrop for the setting sun. Fiscardo is visible and looking down Ithaca’s coastline, Polis Bay can be seen.
Surrounded by hillside terraces of olive groves, three cottages and the pool are on an upper terrace and two cottages on a lower terrace.
The two lower terrace cottages each have a slightly larger terrace than the upper cottages and the views are slightly better - the upper cottages overlook the tops of the lower cottage rooves.
Each cottage is slightly set back from its neighbour and each private, sea-facing terrace, framed by crimson bougainvillaea, has a small garden of citrus and peach trees.
Sunset Cottages will appeal to couples looking for comfortable accommodation, a peaceful setting and some of the most dramatic views on Ithaca.

Location: car hire recommended. Stavros, a drive of just 3 minutes, has 4 tavernas, a supermarket, a butcher, a bakery and a grocery store. Boat hire from the beach below. Agios Yannis beach and the port of Frikes are a drive of 10 minutes.

Each cottage has the layout of a spacious open-plan studio with air-con, WiFi & satellite TV: double bed; sitting area with a sofa bed; kitchenette; bathroom with bath and shower.
