There are now quite a few flight options to reach the Ionian island of your choice.
An online search will cover all these options but here we list out some suggestions for each island destination.

Below we have listed links to take you to a selection of websites with information on charter and scheduled flights from different UK airports and also contact information for transfers from island to island and car hire.

Flexibility

Ionian Villas offers you the flexibility with many of its Ionian properties to choose which day and from which airport to fly and how long to stay – thus avoiding the crowds and being more of an independent traveller rather than a packaged holidaymaker.

You can choose to combine two or more island stays (outside July and August some owners are prepared to accept bookings of less than 7 days); you might wish to incorporate a stay in Venice followed by a ferry trip to Corfu; you might wish to stay in Athens for a night or two and then a domestic flight or ferry on to your Ionian island; you might want a 10-night stay. Sky Express operates a scheduled flight service connecting Corfu, Preveza (for Lefkas), Cephalonia (Kefalonia) and Zakynthos. A passenger ferry also connects these islands plus Ithaca and Meganissi. Ionian island hopping is now easier to arrange.

Unlike a package holiday which may have a rigid itenary and limited transfer options we provide a personilsed service catering for each individual travellers needs. We can introduce you to a variety of inter-island transfers to escape the crowds. It is now possible to charter a speedboat to take you (there and back) from Corfu to Paxos, Paxos to AntiPaxos, Kefalonia to Ithaca and Lefkas to Meganissi. Call us for details.

Corfu, Paxos & Antipaxos transfers

Corfu Flights (For Corfu & Paxos)

Mondays are the main charter flight arrival and departure days during the season for visitors to Corfu and Paxos. Easyjet and Ryanair now fly to Corfu (Kerkyra) on different days of the week, from March through to November. There are also other charter flights on days apart from Monday.

Paxos Transfers

Regular visitors to Paxos (Paxi/Paxoi) will know that transfers from Corfu are now relatively simple and fast. A ten minute taxi ride from the airport to Corfu’s new port and a one hour hydrofoil trip (approx 30 Euros) is a lot more comfortable than the older and slower ferries, which are still used by a few tour operators. On most days there is a hydrofoil departing Corfu around 14.30 and on some days this is the last service of the day. We therefore recommend that you book a flight to depart from UK before 08.00 to avoid missing this hydrofoil. If the flight is delayed and you miss the hydrofoil then our Paxos manager can book a Corfu hotel for you or arrange for you to be transferred to Paxos by seataxi speedboat (one way cost of approx 450 Euros). Our Paxos manager or a member of his team will meet you on arrival at Gaios, Paxos. He can provide a “Meet & Greet” service combined with your transfers so that first time visitors can be met at Corfu airport and taken to the new port by taxi and given pre-booked hydrofoil tickets – with a similar arrangement for the return journey.

There is also a "Fast Boat" service, which departs from Lefkimi (southern tip of Corfu) and takes 45 minutes to reach Paxos. This involves a 1 hour coach transfer from Corfu airport. Our Paxos manager will liaise with you in order to decide on the most appropriate transfer arrangements for you.

Paxos Sea Taxi

Paxos Sea Taxi or (0030) 6932232072 - Nicos is based in Gaios. Fassoulias operates a seataxi from Lakka but has no website so ring (0030) 6977623033

Antipaxos Transfers

The owners of our AntiPaxos properties will arrange your transfers from Paxos (Gaios) to the property and return to Paxos (Gaios). The cost of this transfer is included in the villa rental cost. The transfer from Corfu airport to Paxos (Gaios) is arranged by our Paxos manager, who will liaise with the AntiPaxos property owner so that you are met on arrival on Paxos. Further details of these arrangements plus recommendations for pre-ordering provisions will be given to you with the booking confirmation.

Kefalonia & Ithaca transfers

Kefalonia Flights (for Kefalonia & Ithaca)

Saturdays are the main charter flight arrival and departure days during the season for visitors to Kefalonia (Cephalonia) and Ithaca but there are flights on other days of the week. Easyjet flies from London Gatwick to Kefalonia (Cephalonia) up to 3 times per week and from Milan to Kefalonia twice per week. Ryanair flies from Milan and Pisa to Kefalonia twice per week. Our Kefalonia (Cephalonia) manager will be available for any help or advice before or during your holiday but she will not meet you on arrival. However she can provide a "Meet & Greet" service (for a small fee) combined with your transfers or car hire so that first time visitors can be met at Kefalonia airport and taken to their property by taxi or provided with a hire car – with a similar arrangement for the return journey.

Kefalonia Flights

Ithaca Transfers

Ithaca clients need to purchase flight tickets to Kefalonia (Cephalonia) and then contact our Ithaca manager (see below) who will arrange return transfers (including ferry tickets) to your Ithaca property. The transfer from Kefalonia (Cephalonia) airport entails a 40-minute journey to the port of Sami on the east coast and then a 40 minute ferry journey to Piso Aetos on Ithaca. Clients wanting a hire car on Ithaca can arrange this with our Kefalonia agent and take it on the ferry. For those clients not wanting a hire car pick-up at the airport, a taxi transfer will be arranged from the airport to Sami and then from Piso Aetos to your property and return. Our Ithaca manager can arrange for car hire on Ithaca. Please ask us for details of a faster speedboat transfer from Agia Efimia (Kefalonia) to Piso Aetos.

Lefkas & Meganissi transfers

Lefkas Flights (for Lefkas & Meganissi)

Sundays are the main charter flight arrival and departure days during the season for visitors to Lefkas (Lefkada) but there are flights on other days of the week. Lefkas island does not have its own airport. Preveza airport, on the Greek mainland, is a drive of 30 minutes from Lefkas Town using a bridge link. Our Lefkas manager will be available for any help or advice before or during your holiday but she will not meet you on arrival. However she can provide a "Meet & Greet" service (for a small fee) combined with transfers or car hire so that first time visitors can be met at Preveza airport and taken to their property by taxi or provided with a hire car – with a similar arrangement for the return journey.

For Meganissi, the transfer from Preveza airport entails a 1 hour journey to the port of Nidri on Lefkas’ east coast and then a 25 minute ferry journey to Meganissi. Clients wanting a hire car on Meganissi can arrange this with our Lefkas agent and take it on the ferry. For those clients not wanting a hire car, a taxi transfer can be arranged from the airport to Nidri and on Meganissi. Please ask us for details of a faster speedboat transfer from Nidri (Lefkas)
to Meganissi.
