Natasha
Travelling south from the port of Vathy one soon discovers a beautiful, undulating landscape with only a very few houses. Here there is peaceful seclusion and dramatic sea views.
The southern part of Ithaca produces most of the island’s wine and hillsides show off an attractive patchwork of vineyards, olive groves and pine forest.
Villa Natasha has an elevated position overlooking a beautiful, natural wilderness a few kilometres below the village of Perachori and a 15 minute drive south from Vathy.
The villa has a totally private, countrified location and has unobstructed views over valleys and across the sea to the Greek mainland. Natasha's nearest neighbour is 300 metres away.
The French owners have not wanted to enclose the pool terrace and without railings, and a small drop to a lower hillside terrace, we do not consider Natasha to be suitable for toddlers.

Location: car hire recommended. Vathy and its good selection of tavernas, bars, shops and boat hire, is a drive of 15 minutes. Perachori village, a drive of 10 minutes, has two tavernas. The pretty beach of Kaminia is a 10 minute, bumpy drive along a little-used unmade track. Goat tracks lead through olive groves to the small medieval town of Paleochora, once the island’s capital but now abandoned to the vestiges of fortified houses and churches with fading Byzantine frescoes.
