House of Phoebe
Many say that the sheltered bay of Kioni is one of the most beautiful in the Ionian.
The House of Phoebe has one of the best views over the bay and surrounding hillsides of silver olive trees.
From its hillside position, about a ten minute walk away from the Kioni waterfront, the house’s large verandah and balcony provide theatrical views over the arriving and departing yachts and fishing boats.
The house is a traditional island home that has been given modern comforts and will appeal to those wanting a simple escape from a busy world outside.
A pathway just below the house leads through an olive grove in the centre of the valley to Kioni waterfront in ten minutes. A cafenion and small general store, at the top of the hill above Phoebe, is within a ten minute walk. Bathing can be enjoyed either in Kioni Bay from several beaches or from Mavrouna beach on the other side of the hill towards Frikes.
Maid service & linen change twice weekly
Location: car hire not essential but good for a few days to explore the island. Kioni has good waterfront tavernas and café bars, a minimarket and boat hire. If not hiring a car, a taxi is best to reach Frikes for some excellent seafront tavernas.
Accommodation: open-plan sitting room, dining area and kitchen; one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms; bathroom with shower.
