Circe
In Homer’s Odyssey, Circe was a witch-goddess who transformed Odysseus’ crew into swine & then allowed Odysseus to live with her for a year. Nausica was the daughter of the Phaeacian King Alcinous and Queen Arete.
Villa Circe stands on a wide hillside terrace of olive groves above the south coast between Lourdas and Katelios. The area is called Platies and it lies in the foothills of Mount Aenos - a peaceful, natural landscape.
Circe's sister villa, Nausica, is about 20 metres away. A tall dividing row of trees provides privacy for the pool terraces. The owner lives unobtrusively in his house behind the villas. Olive groves surround the private property.
The nearby south coast has many sandy beaches. The very secluded beach of Sissia is just a 5 minute drive; the sandy cove and beach bar at Koroni are an 8 minute drive; Lourdas beach (sunbeds, umbrellas, watersports, boat hire, tavernas & bars) is an 8 minute drive; Katelios (boat hire and good fish tavernas) is a 15 minute drive.
The coastline of silver olive trees, the panorama of Ionian sea and the sweeping hillsides of pine forest below the mountain are the dominant features of the stunning views from the balconies and terraces of each villa. The views also take in the island of Zakynthos and theatrical sunsets.

Location: car hire recommended. Platies is a 20 minute drive from the airport. The sandy beaches and tavernas of Lourdas (west) and Katelios (east) are each a short drive away. Apart from the nearby beachfront tavernas there are many small villages within the Aenos foothills for eating and shopping. The nearest taverna is the Koroni View - a 5 minute drive.
