Kalokeri
Kalokeri means "Summer" in Greek.
Villa Kalokeri is the elegantly colourful home of a British family who have created a comfortable and totally private hideaway yet close to beaches and village life.
The villa is on a hillside terrace in the foothills of north Zakynthos’ mountain range. Set within 4.5 acres of private grounds including its own olive grove, Kalokeri is surrounded by sweeping valleys of patchwork olive groves and wild myrtle.
The dramatic views are over valleys of olive and cypress trees and across the sea to Kefalonia and the Greek mainland. An ever-changing 180 degree natural panorama. Peaceful seclusion with only the occasional clunk of a goat bell or the chirp of a cicada to disturb.
The port of Agios Nikolaos is just a 10 minute drive away and Makris Yalos beach is a 12 minute drive.
The villa’s estate is ablaze with colour. Herb scented paths connect the entrance courtyard of jasmine, lavender and rosemary with a selection of shaded spots to relax; borders of roses; arched alcoves framed by crimson bougainvillaea and honeysuckle; an orchard of pomegranates, almonds, apricots and figs and a hillside of ancient olive and pistachio trees.
Careful attention has been given to make the outside relaxing areas as comfortable as a sumptuous interior sitting room and to provide abundant shade.
Adjacent to the infinity pool is a stone Pool House with fridge, table football, darts, chillaxing beds, cloakroom and outdoor shower. A sofa opens out to two single beds for children.
There is also a table tennis table and a floodlit boules court.

Location: car hire a must. Tavernas, shops and boat hire of Agios Nikolaos are a 10 minute drive below the villa. Above the estate, Volimes village has a good pharmacy, bakery and tavernas. Small coves, beaches and waterfront tavernas can all be found nearby. Zakynthos Town is 20 kilometres.
Accommodation:
All on one floor, open-plan sitting room and kitchen; 2 master double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms; one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with a shared bathroom with twin basins; one twin bedroom and en suite bathroom accessed from courtyard - twin beds can be made into a double bed.
The beds are wide (most are 6') with good quality pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets and generous built in closet space.
