Jacintha
Villa Jacintha is the hideaway home of a British family who have opted for comfortable simplicity rather than soulless modernity.
From the north east port of Agios Nikolaos, small roads wind their way up an undulating landscape of forested hillsides to the village of Volimes. Just below the village, surrounded by a beautiful wilderness of olive, pine and cypress, hide a small number of private properties. Jacintha is one of these properties.
The villa enjoys peaceful seclusion but is only a 10 minute drive to the tavernas, shops and beach at Agios Nikolaos.
Terraces on three sides of the villa look out over the forested valleys below and along the island's eastern coastline.
The villa has been built out of the hillside and there are good, naturally shaded areas and cooling summer breezes.

Location: car hire a must. Tavernas, shops and boat hire of Agios Nikolaos are a 10 minute drive below the villa. At Agios Nikolaos it is possible to hire your own small boat to discover small coves, taking a picnic or dropping anchor and wading ashore for lunch at a restaurant. Above the estate, Volimes village has a good pharmacy, bakery and tavernas. Small coves, beaches and waterfront tavernas can all be found nearby. Alikes beach is great for toddlers. Peligoni Club (water sports, beauty treatments, tennis court, restaurant, bar and much more) is a 10 minute drive. Zakynthos Town is 20 kilometres (a 45 minute drive).
Accommodation:
Ground floor of an open-plan sitting room and kitchen; 1 double bedroom and 3 twin bedrooms. All 4 bedrooms have an en suite shower room. One double and one twin bedroom have air-con - the other bedrooms are closer to the hillside and are cooler. There are fans in all bedrooms. Lower ground floor (accessed via external steps) of one twin bedroom and en suite shower room; laundry room.
The twin beds can be converted to doubles on request.
