Above the Beach
Bordered by gardens of fruit trees and surrounded on three sides by large pine trees, the Above the Beach Suites have a special location just above the beautiful sandy beach of Makris Yalos on Kefalonia’s south coast.
There are just 4 Suites and Maria, the owner, looks after her guests in a way that most hotels cannot aspire to. A delicious daily breakfast is served to each private Suite balcony – pastries and croissants are home baked and fruits and marmalades come from Maria’s gardens.
Each Suite (two with 1 bedroom, one with 2 bedrooms and one with 3 bedrooms) is comfortably stylish and opens out to spectacular sea views and sunsets.
Makris Yalos beach is just a 2 minute stroll away and shops and tavernas are a 5 minute walk. There are a few beachfront tavernas and bars.
Daily maid service & towel change. Bed linen changed every other day.
Shared swimming pool 8 x 4 metres & depth 1.46 metres plus children's pool 2 x 2 metres & depth 0.64 metres
Location: car hire not essential but useful to explore the island. Argostoli, the island’s capital, is a 10 minute drive. There are many good sandy beaches on this stretch of coastline.
Accommodation:
The “Alia Suite” is on the ground floor and has a double bed, sitting area, kitchen, bathroom (with small bath) and sea-facing and garden-facing terrace. The “Doris Suite” is on the first floor and has a double bed, sitting area (with sofa bed for a child), kitchen, bathroom and sea-facing balcony. The “Amfitriti Suite” is on the first floor and has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, one bathroom with bath and one bathroom with shower, kitchen and sea-facing balcony. The "Thea Suite" is also on the first floor and has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all with an en suite bathroom, and a spacious open-plan sitting room (with a sofa bed), dining area and kitchen.
Each Suite has air-con, WiFi,satellite TV, bathrobes and safety deposit box.
The prices on our website are for 2 people staying in the “Alia Suite” for 1 week and include a daily breakfast. Please ask us for prices for the other Suites.
