Tiresias was a blind prophet of Apollo in Thebes. Odysseus met him when he journeyed to the underworld (Hades) and Tiresias showed Odysseus how to get back to Ithaca.
To visit Ithaca nowadays there is a ferry from Sami, on Kefalonia, which takes 30 minutes to reach the tiny port of Piso Aetos on Ithaca’s west coast.
Tiresias Cottage sits on a hillside above Piso Aetos port with spectacular views down to the beach below and across the sea to Kefalonia.
A perfect spot for theatrical sunsets and watching aerial displays of birds of prey.
Tiresias is a simple yet comfortable cottage for couples wanting privacy, good sea views and to be close to village life and beaches.
